Not My First Time

This is not my first time blogging, but it is my first time blogging here. I don't know why I have decided to try somewhere new... I suppose it is because I feel like I am starting a new chapter of my life. I am about to buy a home with my fiance, I'll be getting married in less than 6 months, I'm done with college, and I have a "grown-up" job. Things are changing in my life, so why not my blog as well?

To start, I'll say a little about me. I am currently living in Lynchburg, VA. I'm originally from Maryland, but I came here for school, met my future husband, got a job, and now I'm buying a home. I guess I'll be here for a while longer, which isn't too bad. I kind of like the place, and I still get to visit my family often enough.

I graduated from Liberty University way back in December 2007 (which I know isn't really all that long ago), and now I work for the school full-time as an Admissions Processor. I also have a second part-time job at Best Buy's Geek Squad, where I do anything and everything other than work on computers. I'm more of a secretary, with my fun and exciting title being, "Counter Operative." You really wouldn't want to see what would happen if I had to try and fix an actual computer.

My favorite thing in my life right now is that I'm engaged to a wonderful man (and my very best friend), Scott, who I met a little over three years ago in an Accounting class. We became fast friends, and started dating after three months of knowing each other. Since pretty much the first day I've met him, there hasn't been one day that has gone by that we haven't talked in some manner, whether face to face, over the phone, or at least through texting. I don't know why, but knowing that makes me smile every time I think about it...

Now that I've mentioned engagement, I get to talk about my next favorite thing of all... my wedding! Our planned date of marriage is October 10, 2009 (right around the corner, I know!), but we are still trying to iron out all the wrinkles, such as a place and a pastor. I would love to have my pastor from my home church, but we aren't sure if he will be available. The next day we have in mind is that Sunday, October 11. I think I like the sound of 10/11/09 better than 10/10/09. I just wish we could finally settle on a date. I think it would help the rest of our planning fall into place.

Oh my, I've just noticed the time, and my lunch break ended about 15 minutes ago. I suppose I will just have to put off the rest until tomorrow!
