We spent the weekend

in Atlantic City and New York, and it was cold and it was fun :)

The purpose behind the trip was for Scott's birthday, he's 24 now. It was also supposed to be a bit of his bachelor party, since he was never thrown one before the wedding.

We went up with our friends Andrew, Michelle, James, and Amy, and we stayed at the Caesar casino... amazing! We had a wonderfully comfy king size bed, a spacious, wonderful bathroom (with TV in the mirror), and so much more.

We didn't spend a lot of time gambling though, since neither Scott or I are big gamblers. I don't like the way it makes me feel so desperate to win, as if each new bet is the one that is going to win big. I also don't like walking away with no money, and nothing to really show for it.

Of course for most of the trip, the camera was lost, so I don't have a ton of pictures from AC... sad day. But we did have it for New York, and that is where it really matters, right?

The above pic was me starting our freezing, rainy day on the ferry. It was sooo cold!! Thanksfully Scott and I went out and bought me a super warm winter jacket (waterproof too), so I was as snug as a bug in a rug. That is until my feet started to freeze, but we changed out my chucks for some warm (waterproof) snow boots, and I was good to go again!

It was great having a day to explore New York, and I enjoyed all of the wonderful photo opportunities...

This picture I was coerced into posing for. I have never had a desire to pose beside the rearend of a bull, but there I am with Scott... I still smiled nonetheless.

Scott was so excited about everything!! I love seeing his face :) He was so happy!

New York is so beautiful :) Even the traffic is pretty (especially since we weren't stuck in it).

Hehe, had to push my own agenda here, and I blurred out the beer ad... I'm not a fan.

But I was excited about New York!!

Our poor little Nikon couldn't quite handle all the humidity that came with the rain, and it fogged up for a bit, but I got some fun pics, like the one below, while the camera recovered.

But don't worry, it was all better, and just in time for Rockefeller center and the Christmas tree!!

Mmm... ice skating. An activity that I once enjoyed, but now my ankles can't handle as well.

We discovered the musical feature in the subway... it played rainforest sounds when you blocked the sensors. Lots of fun!!

And before we knew it, it was time for home.

It's getting quite late on my end, so I'll have to save the tale of our highway accident for next time. Basically, we were rammed from behind while driving home. Everyone is okay (even the idiot who hit us and then skidded across the highway). The truck is fine, for the most part. We've noticed the bumper is messed up, but more will be determined about that later, and I will explain the story in more detail then. I'll also put up the other pics that I have from the AMAZING Macy's that they have up there (LOVE). For now, it's bed time.
