You and Me

Scott and I leave for Maryland this afternoon. We're getting off work early (yay!), and we're hoping to be to my parent's house by 8:00PM. This will be quite the miracle considering we usually don't make it there until some time around midnight. Mostly because I normally am unable to leave work early, and we are never actually packed and ready to go (or anywhere close to ready, ha). But this time the bags are packed, the car has been cleaned out, the house is in a somewhat decent state, and we only have a few things to do before we can begin the four hour trip home.

I can't wait to get there! To once again be immersed in my family, and with Scott there by my side. He has, or course, come home with me for Thanksgiving before, but there is just something better about him being there as my husband vs. my boyfriend. Here is a pic of us on our second Thanksgiving together:

What a baby face he had!

Funny little fact... we've never had a Thanksgiving while engaged, or a Christmas for that matter. We were only engaged for about 10 1/2 months, but I'm not complaining :) It makes me happy that my boyfriend of last year, is now my handsome, wonderful husband this year!

This pic was taken as our family Christmas card picture. Scott got to be in it, even though he was "still just the boyfriend". It was a happy moment for me, because I already knew he was the man I wanted to marry :)

And now for what inspired me to write a post at all... I wanted to share this song, which I think is beautiful, and wonderful, and amazing, and just how I feel and want to be!

"You and Me" by the Dave Matthews Band

Wanna pack your bags, Something small
Take what you need and we disappear
Without a trace we'll be gone, gone
The moon and the stars can follow the car
and then when we get to the ocean
We gonna take a boat to the end of the world
All the way to the end of the world

Oh, and when the kids are old enough
We're gonna teach them to fly

You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yes, yes (x2)

You and I, we're not tied to the ground
Not falling but rising like rolling around
Eyes closed above the rooftops
Eyes closed, we're gonna spin through the stars
Our arms wide as the sky
We gonna ride the blue all the way to the end of the world
To the end of the world

Oh, and when the kids are old enough
We're gonna teach them to fly

You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yes, yes

We can always look back at what we did
All these memories of you and me baby
But right now it's you and me forever girl
And you know we could do better than anything that we did
You know that you and me, we could do anything

You and me together, we could do anything, Baby
You and me together yeah, yeah
Two of us together, we could do anything, baby
You and me together yeah, yeah
Two of us together yeah, yeah
Two of us together, we could do anything, baby

(And I'm not sure what song plays after the first one... it's not suppose to be there, as far as I know...)
