Now that we are married, Scott and I have decided we should probably start having some sort of budget, and that we actually need to stick to it. With a budget, comes a freeze on all of the "fun" spending we've been doing, and we find ourselves setting financial goals...
... and I've come up with a Wish List.
It's nothing too specific. We still don't know models and brands... not even costs, but at this point, it's just nice to see what we're saving for. And it'll be good to have goals for when we get extra money, and when people ask what we want for birthdays and Christmas... money to put toward our goal. I'm so excited. It's fun to see the things that we can one day have.
And so here it is, our Wish List:
1. Kitchen Cabinets
2. Hardwood Floors
3. Washer and Dryer
4. Riding Mower
5. Windows (Whole House!!)
6. Dishwasher
7. Computer (I don't know why Scott added this, but I'm guessing he has a good reason)
8. Digital Camera
9. Blu-ray Player
10. Bathroom Cabinets (Upstairs and Downstairs)
11. Video Camera
12. Car
It's long, and expensive, and we'll both need second and third jobs to afford these things any time soon, but we're up to the challenge. And feel free to help us reach these goals, all gifts are welcome, haha!
Quite a list. Is it in order of desire, or money or just random? I ask beause I was surprised to see kitchen cabinets before hardwood floors. Love ya
ReplyDeleteIt actually is in order of desire, for the most part. The reason cabinets come before floors is because we want the cabinets installed before we get new floors, that way we're less likely to damage the floors, and we can add them in around the cabinets.
