Ohio Weekend

In an attempt to get more accomplished in my personal life, and with the house, I took a week off from Geek Squad. It was a nice "vacation", even though I still had my full time job to go to. I didn't get nearly as much as I wanted accomplished... I didn't even get a chance to catch up on sleep! But I did get completely moved out of my old place, and Scott and I were able to get it all cleaned. Now I just need to find someone to take over the lease, and life will be good!

We went to Ohio for the weekend. We had planned on leaving Lynchburg around 4:30PM, maybe 5:00PM, but we didn't get started until almost 8:00PM. That put us in Pemberville, Ohio around 4:00AM. I was exhausted, and it makes me wonder how exactly Scott manged to stay awake and focused that whole time!

On Saturday we drove out to Sandusky, Ohio and went to Cedar Point! It was so much fun and we rode rides late into the night, which I'm still surprised we managed to stay up as late as we did. It was a beautiful day, and although the park was well-populated, it wasn't too crowded, and a lot of the lines were decent. We got there a little after noon, and didn't leave until about 10:30PM. We rode most of the rides that Scott was looking forward to, and even got to ride Maverick, which is an amazingly awesome roller coaster, that we had never ridden before. It was such a smooth and wonderful ride.

Sunday we went and picked up our wedding bands from J. Foster Jewelers (love the people who work here!), and I love love love my ring!! I of course tried it on, and I didn't want to take it off... only 4 months 8 days left. I wish I could show other people the ring, but Scott and I aren't going to show either of the rings to anyone until the wedding day. It's so exciting!!

We also went to the graduation ceremony for Scott's little brother, Kurt, on Sunday. It was fun, and Scott got to see a lot of people from his town that he hasn't seen in a while. After graduation we visited with his family at home, and then started getting ready to head back to Lynchburg. We again started on the road much later than we had originally planned (I believe it was about 6:00PM, maybe 7:00PM?) and arrived home around 3:30AM. Scott did pretty well, and I actually had a good few hours where I managed to keep my eyes open. At least we made it home alive.

Now I'm back into the work week (including Geek Squad), and I'm starting to feel the strain of not getting a lot of good, quality sleep. I'm hoping tonight to actually have my eyes closed before 10:00PM, but we'll see how that goes with the long list of things I have to do.

I do have pictures from Ohio, but not with me. I'll try to get some on later tonight. And maybe I'll even get some pictures of the house... we'll see.
