The Cry That Launched a Thousand Ships

Masen and I visited Scott at work today during his lunch hour, and we all went out to Chick-fil-A to grab a bite to eat, because that is the only place that we are guaranteed to get Masen to eat (he LOVES Chick-fil-A sauce more than anything else, and will even bypass FRUIT to eat a piece of chicken dipped in that yummy yellow stuff). He even drank milk (this is normally spit out like poison) in what I am now referring to as a most blessed restaurant where miracles truly do happen. It was a beautiful thing, and to make it even better, I got to enjoy the delicious food too! It was a lovely good time, where I got a chance to relax (out in society to boot!), while Scott entertained the little one. I love days like these!

Before we headed out for lunch though, we stopped by the Kid's Cove, where many little children run and play for free. Masen absolutely loves playing in there and can spend a good deal of time climbing up and down the ramps and going in and out of the hollow plastic trees. He loves watching all of the other kids running around him, and trying to talk to them, and hug them (he is quite the hugger after all). I know that he loves it, and so I shouldn't have been too terribly surprised when it was time to leave, that my precious little baby looked over my husband's shoulder, and with tears streaming down his face, pointed and told us in his own little baby language, that he most certainly did not want to leave!

I was heartbroken.

So what did my husband and I do? We crumbled... and turned right back around and let him play for another 15 minutes... good grief. Our child has us wrapped around his little finger.
