Park It

This weekend we finally stayed home in Virginia! It was really nice to not spend over eight hours in the car, and Scott and I enjoyed taking Masen out together and having some fun!

One of my favorite things that we did was head out to the park. It's kind of funny because we haven't really taken Masen to a park... I guess I always felt like it was too much to drive all the way out there when we could enjoy so much outdoorsiness right here in our very own backyard! But now that Masen can crawl, and because of his absolute love to see other small people like him, we ventured out, and had a blast!

We even went so far as to have a picnic! Masen enjoyed munching on some elbow noodles and cheese.

But don't let the spoon fool you... he was all about eating with his hands!

After our lunch, we headed over to the play area, where Masen crawled about and explored. He loved all the levels of the playset and trying to go up the slide.

We also enjoyed a little time in the grass, and we let Masen test out his soccer skills.

He practiced standing on his own (even though it looks a bit like he is leaning against Scott, he was actually standing all by himself).

And we ended our day with the tire swing!

After our fun time at the park, we headed home for naps, and to prepare for Masen's first baseball game! I haven't finished editing those pictures just yet though, so maybe they'll show up in a later post... maybe.

Overall our weekend at home was a success!
